    Gears for 38s

    I was orginally wanting 4.88s for my 38s, but seeing that my rpms at 70 would be 2000, I'm starting to look at 4.56. The 4.56 would put me about stock gear ratio (3.73) but I'm afraid it's not enough for riding in town. What would yall do?

    looser converters for more ci engines

    I've been looking into the 276hr cam from comp cams. But it says it's needs a 2000 more stall converter. Since this is going into a 383 instead of a 350, will I still need the converter? I understand a 383 will tame a cam better than a 383 but have no idea about the converter.

    zz4 cam

    If I got the zz4 cam in my project motor, would I lose or gain lowend power? Specs are 208/221 duration with .474 intake and .510 exhaust. I will be getting ls6 beehive springs and everything needed to handle the lift.

    stroker mileage

    So right now I have a used engine. I've done taken it apart and cleaned it. I'm boring .030 over. But, I'd like to buy a 383 kit. What would my gas mileage be like with a 383 with a compression ratio around 9.1? Would it decrease, increase or stay the same? I get 12 average now.

    fluid leak

    Well I've found a nice little transmission fluid leak. It's on the back of the transmission where it meets the transfer case. The fluid runs off of the skid plate on the bottom of the transfer case so I can't exactly see where it's coming from.any idea?

    33x12.50 on 20x12

    tire psi

    I have no clue where to post this, so if it's in the wrong place feel free to move it where it belongs and maybe I'll know what section to go to for future reference. Anyways, what's a good psi to run my tires at? Tires say 65 psi maximum, but I have a feeling it should be around 35.

    cam for low end torque

    I've searched and I haven't been able to find much of anything. So far all I know is I need to find a came where the power badn starts around 1500rpm and end around 4000rpm. A nice cam and everything I need for the cam install would be helpful.

    shaky idle

    Well I recently replaced my fuel injectors, hoping it would fix rough idle. I now have a maf code (p0102). I unplugged the sensor and performance stayed the same. I also checked the pcv valve and it was good.

    lifter tick solutions

    Well I've got a pretty constant lifter tick. No matter how hot/cold the truck is it will do it. Seems the days its loudest it drowns out the radio AND the tire noise ( imagine 33's road noise).     performance variance on different start ups?

    Well as said in one of my other posts, if I start my 5.7 vortec say Monday, it runs well. If I start it up the next day, I couldn't beat a minivan in a street race. What would cause these variances?
