    Strange Electrical Issue

I'm having this weird electrical problem. Whenever my key is in the off or lock position, the gear indicator and tail stop lights function normally. However whenever I turn the key to the On position or start the truck, neither work. Just wondering what I should start looking at to...

    Carpet 97 k1500

Took mine out and bedlinered it. No complaints other then I'm too lazy to wash it out. Beats the heck out of a dirty carpet. In my case with an automatic transmission, the shifter cable runs under my feet and the driver seat but i got covered it with floormats.

    Lost Key

First thing I did was hit it with a file. Neither me or the previous owner(My brother) ever used the key in the door, so we can't say if it ever worked. Asked the guy he bought it from and he said he didn't know if the lock cylinders been replaced or if he had an extra set of keys. Going to set...

Need the key to get the old one out, right. Ill go to a local locksmith and give her the keycode and the key and see what she thinks. The one that the dealer cut looked a little off between both sides btw dont know how close it has to be to work

    Lost Key

Ya we'll see what the dealer says. I could change the cylinder myself but from what I understand you need the key to do that. I assume there is a more destructive way of doing it.

    Lost Key

So I have a 95 Chevy K1500 and today while I was running around with someone else, I seemed to have lost my key. Unfortunately the truck only had one key and I have not gotten around to making a spare. I tried using a paperclip or a small screwdriver to move the pins and turn the cylinder but...
