Thank you. Does the 3.75 opening fit tight to the axle or is there a bit of play?
Edit: axle is 3.375 and hole 3.750

The axle tube itself measures 3.375”, but there is a lip on the square flange that is right at 3.75”.
I can get you an exact tomorrow.
Thanks, I’m good. Was just trying to understand how the Suburban 10 bolts used the 11” brakes. It must be a different axle flange. Something like this:

Do you have the measurements for the 10 bolt backing plate?
I have the 10 bolt we just took out of my son’s truck I could get measurements from.

I know they are different. They are a rectangular pattern. I think the only way to use the 11” plate on a 10 bolt would be to change the flange.

So we started setting up the rear diff. Got the posi assembled, made some pinion set up bearings and started putting it all together. Got the initial backlash set and then proceeded to set the pinion depth. After a couple different shims, we settled on a pretty good pattern. Then we tore it back down and started final assembly. Took the setup bearings off, cleaned it up and started pressing on the inner pinion bearing. When we get it done my son picks up the pinion gear and I look down at the press and the roller bearings and cage are still sitting there nice and neat, but not attached to the gear anymore. Ordered a new Timken should be here Tuesday. Oh well at least the set up is done, I’ll check everything again but it should be pretty good.
