How to Replace oil filter adapter gasket & o-ring
I just did this job on a 94 K1500 4wd with a 350. In my opinion it was not really an easy job. My oil cooler lines were 1" nuts mating to the adapter. I could not pull it down far enough to get the gasket out. I looked for a 1" flare nut wrench but couldn't find anything local. So, I bought a 1"...- Tweezak

Running Rough
Hey Tanner I'm here because I have a similar problem. I'm not smoking but my idle is rough and the truck (same year and model as yours) stumbles on acceleration. 94 K1500 4x4 with 5.7L TBI Engine idles smooth when cold but starts running rough when it gets close to operating temperature. Thanks merlin...quite right. I found a reference today to a addendum to the service manual indicating that the manual is wrong and the plug in the 94 is under the dash on the passenger side. I was looking for a much bigger plug - I didn't realize it is just a single tan wire with a black stripe...- Tweezak

I haven't seen any mention on this site of the Frantz bypass oil filter. My brother who is a millwright and accomplished mechanic swears by them and has them on all of his vehicles. Is there a reason people here aren't using them?- Tweezak
