Suspension overhaul questions and help needed

Mine came with Balljoints that had zerk fittings in the box. IDK about the quality but, at least for me, this was way better because I only drive about 2500 miles a year in my truck. If the balljoints wear out quickly I'll replace them with some better ones down the road. But that is good...

Suspension overhaul questions and help needed

I'm in the process of doing the exact same thing, let me save you some time, money, and effort. I bought the same ball joints and some meovec upper control arm bushings. Getting the ball joints out isn't really hard but there is some effort there. I didn't have the tools to remove the...

96 Z71 Project Start to Finish

Great looking truck man! Personally I prefer nerf bars to steps, especially with a roll bar, but it's definitely my style.

98 C1500 pitman and idler arm replacement??

I just did mine on a 94 K1500 and it's pretty much what was described here. Now I was doing all the front end parts, balljoints, CV's, hubs, bushings, etc so I had the whole front end ripped apart making removing the steering box a breeze. Seems to me it would be easier that way anyway but I...

    Cheap Northern Tool Offroad Lights

Thanks! I know it a little overdone for some peoples taste but I always wanted that "Walker Texas Ranger" style truck since I was a kid.

    Cheap Northern Tool Offroad Lights

I ordered some generic 6" lights from harbor freight for $11 each. They dont come with covers but I bought KC covers on summit racing and the fit perfect. I've had them for 2 years and they still work fine, although I don't offroad much and when I do it's usually just on trails. They are...

    Possible trade question.

Seems like you would be giving up a lot just to have a diesel. Ground clearance, passenger capacity, offroad capabilities. I wouldn't make the trade if it was me.

Hugger orange two door tahoe (pic heavy)

That is an amazing build you've done I'm very impressed. And I can appreciate building a cool looking truck on the cheap. Way to go.

Adventures of my 'budget' Color-match grille (Lots of pics)

Yeah I'm a fairly amateur painter but it didn't look like you roughed the surface nearly enough for proper adhesion. Also like said above on something like this a self etching primer is always a safe bet. Plus you really should allow the paint to cure for 24-48 hours depending on conditions...

    ChrisAU's '98 ECSB K1500 Build Thread

I say on an A/t or M/T tire white letter out is great. But for a bone stock looking ride I think you may be better off letter in.
