Thanks, Realy I wanted to do a stroker anyway. It just realy cranks me up that I payed more than I wanted for a "good low millage" LQ4 with a warentee and ended up with a POS that they bassicly told me F U. And so Phase II of my project begins in reverse order.

Oh yea everything was great but the oil kept turning Black, in 950 miles it ate the main bearings. The ****** is that the salvage yard refused to hold up the warrentee. "we have no way to tell if you did somthing to it" was there half assed excuse. Been sitting since July. With a .064 thrust...

Well 900 miles and the bottom end is wasted. Ive never seen so much metal come out of an oilpan. A big F U to "used part supplyer Warentee!

Engine Poll

I just did the 6.0 route. I feel it was a good choice, Im getting at least as good milage and more power than the 5.7 (stock tune).It was more work upfront for sure. But in no way what I would call hard.

No it was starting like crap. I got it sorted out. I had the cmp plug wired wrong (again). Now it is starting great. The Crank relearn did not take or wasnt done Dont know what one realy as the dealer had so many reasons why the couldnt/wouldnt do it it was unreal. But sure was happy to charge...

Update well the relern did not take. the dealer had so many excuses why the couldnt or wouldnt do it was un real. Im most likley going to get the Auto cal from Black Bear and be done with it.

I have my CASE/Crank relearn scheduled for tomorrow. 1 change I have made is to move the MAF about a foot away from the throttle body to try and ease the hard start. I had it about 3" away. Well No differance on the starting but it did smooth out the acceleration from a dead stop. I will make...

Well I spoke too soon My code ame back with a vengence Missing and poping from the lef bank as well. I got the miss/popping sorted out rather quickley. It was a cracked plug on #3 cylinder. (still starting hard mostly when cold) I will try to get in for the relern this week & go from there. I...

Thanks, I found the Left bank miss/exhaust pop. It was a cracked plug on 3#, as for the cam code I can clear it & if it starts up right off it wont comeback for a few miles. I will try and get it in for the relern this week and go from there.

Well I spoke to soon the same code is back. hard starting is back and I have a miss/exhaust pop out of the left bank Maby a bad coil I will pick up a new coil and wire on Tuesday and start there. It seems odd as ths thing annitialy even with the code Idled smooth and reved smooth
