Thank you for the info! That's so much better than these shops and "I think". Which I understand with regards to them. But thankful for you guys!

    RCLB parking brake cables?

So I've spent a couple days reading threads and talking to parts people to get parking brake cables for RCLB. Everything I've read and everyone I've talked to has had different opinions. The dealer wants me to bring it in, so I'm kind of over searching. This is a 1990 K3500 regular cab, long...

Rear Frame Crossmembers. All the same between long box?

Thanks! That's more info than I had previously. I'm just glad it had the gooseneck mount welded in. I think it helped hold everything together.

Anyone running 19.5's on a SRW

Thanks for the input on both counts. I may try the F series tires that are starting to show up before dumping the cash into anything. I could also test some 8 inch wheels and see how those do.

Anyone running 19.5's on a SRW

I've been considering going to 19.5's on my k3500 with SRW. I bumper tow up to 12k for farm bits and bobs. I don't like the squish and sway. Right now I'm running 245/75 16s. I am wanting a taller tire too, but it already sways a bit with the 245s. I am offroad quite (in the fields) a bit as...

Rear Frame Crossmembers. All the same between long box?

For rear cross members, will they all be the same between 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton and 1 ton? All of my crossmembers after the cab are rotted and need replaced. Since so many GMT400s are rotted out, I may have to take what I can find. They aren't load bearing per se, but figured I would ask.

90 k3500 wheel bearing replacement in the hub?

I was shocked to find out the hub assemblies were 200 a side. Has anyone replaced just the bearing in the hub? Normally if they have a hub assembly I don't worry about pulling it apart but this may be an exception.

96 1 ton Chevy Crew Cab Cummins

I'm interested to see your build! I work the daylights out of my k3500 and the IFS doesn't like it... but it has been abused over its life. My dad gave it to me once it at end of life on a lot of maintenance parts (but had a relatively new motor). I've slowly been coaxing it back to life...

Shame I wasn't paying attention on this... course that's when things are getting moving around my place (planting, fertilizing etc...) I'll have to pay attention.

Better maintenance access with a suspension lift?

One thing I've never cared for on my k3500 is the IFS and how it obscures everything. Do those of you with suspension lifts (like Cepek) find it easier to do some maintenance (like replacing oil pan gaskets or oil cooler lines)? I know there are a lot of beefy brackets that are installed, but...

    engine oil

Zinc is definitely useful inside engines. Overkill doesn't help though. Use as recommended of course. I personally just 15w-40 rotella myself in most of my vehicles and tractors. Ultimately however, I think that as long as you keep clean oil in your vehicle, you're on the sunny side. Naturally...

    Window channel for passenger side?

Dormant lists 921-210 for a left side window channel. I can find nothing for the passenger side. Is there one currently being made? Will the driver side fit on the passenger side?
