My fuse panel under the hood is really corroded causing my fuel pump relay not to work. A new panel isnt very expensive, but how big of a job is that to replace? Has anyone tried it?
This said electrical so I hope I’m posting this in the right place. I’m installing a dixie horn on my 1997 Silverado and I am hoping to see what some other people have done before I tear into it. Thanks in advance!
Well after considering my options and what I’ve got I’ve decided I’m not going to use my truck to tow that Audi, we’re just gonna rent one since my 98 is also unavailable. Thanks for all of the input everyone!
Attached is a picture of the transmission fluid in my 4L60 (truck has 206k miles on it). Looking for opinions on if I should change the fluid/filter or not at this point? Leaning towards pumping the old stuff out with the radiator lines/pulling new stuff in after I change the filter but hoping...
I'll take a picture tonight of my fluid and put it on here. I think replacing it twice would be worth it, Id be nervious towing with what Ive got that far. 206k miles and I am worried its original fluid.
I am planning on changing my fluid before I take off but I keep getting told that dropping the pan, changing the filter, and putting 4-5 fresh quarts in is somehow going to blow up my 4L60 which I don't necessarily believe but its now in the back of my head.
Decided to order this cooler to install in the next week or so: https://www.amazon.com/HAYDEN-TRANSAVER-TRANS-COOLER-OC-1403-MEDIUM/dp/B009TABMMW
Going to try to install an autometer trans temp gauge if time permits.
My 93 isnt registered/insured anymore with 284k on the clock and the 2500 (the ideal solution) is at the farm (400 miles from where I live). Trust me, towing with my 97 isnt my ideal option haha.
