so I've got a 94 3/4 ton with a nv4500. was gonna go manual with my '00 k2500. what would I need really for this swap?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/#/topics/414527
this was a guideline originally but both trucks were tbi not vortec. any help would be greatly appreciated. would I need to swap...
I did have them on fit the back no issues, but on the front hit the upper control arma need a inch and a half wheel spacer or possibly 2 the dodge rim is significantly deeper compared to the chev rim got the rims just waiting in custom spacers so both are hub centric
I was thinking bigger rim would fit just got the 16" steelies on mine the rims and tires are being given to me almost like new 3 hour drive but would like w Lil confirmation thanks jr you're always answering my questions! Also nice 98 you picked up lots of potential there !
I know the bolt pattern is the same, but will the rim fit, factoring the brakes and such I know it will fit on the rear but not sure on the front clearing the calipers an rotors the brake set up on the 3/4 ton ram looks so tiny compared to mine
Rims off a 08 ram 2500, 17" alloys.. I'm wondering it theyd fit my 2000 k2500 (old body style) I know for a fact they fit the gmt 800 but can't find anywhere online of them on our platform of truck, or anybody even attempting it any input would be awesome thanks guys!
Well just a crank and body lift you fit 35''s nicely, I was thinking cut out flares and a nice offset it would be posibe but some stuff sounds good in your head but just ain't right in reality
Was wondering if with cut out fenders flares and a 3" body lift would I fit 37" tires I know in the rear with stock wheel wells fit 35''s would.rather not hack the rear if I didn't have to, the cut out flare fits a 315 75 16 nearly a 35 it's a '00 k2500
I've seen chassis'twist from the strain of a 454, but if you're not overly crazy a half ton would handle it nicely, I'd make sure your rear differential is a 14 bolt at least, those can tear up diffs pretty fast if you wanna get wild
May be a silly question but what we're the wire's you tapped into in the center pillar. The white or black plug. I noticed the wHite one had 6 wires going in 2 coming out so I tapped into the 2 Unused and I git nothing
Thanks I'm gonna look into it after, for now I got a buddy willing to give me a transmission he has one out of a 97 2500 series can, 4l80e, wondering if it would bolt up and plug in? I'd be using my torque converter
I lost the transmission in my k2500 it's a '00 so I'm assumin the internals from 96-00 should work? Buying the full kit, possibly a shift kit, anybody have any recommendations for a kit? Only pushing 300 horsepower from the Lil 350 so doesn't need to be bullet proof
Sounds exactly like my '00 with the 350. In the last 2 days I found a big change in the reverse it had to Rev a little to grab, done it 2 times after then nothing.. guess I'm in for a rebuild it has 287k (kilometers)
