    Do you mean like adding a trailer light? Connect brown to running light side, yellow or green to brake/turn side, black to ground.

    Are any of your headlight connectors melted? Just a guess, but it sounds like the headlight circuit breaker could be shutting down. If it is, there is a chance the melted connector is drawing high amps.
