Hello all,
I finally got underneath my 1995 Yukon GT for the first time to try and figure out my "lack" of a trailer hitch connector/wiring. My RPOs state I have VR4 weight distribution hitch and Z82 trailer provisions. Today's poking around under there lead me to quiet a few questions. I've...
$2,200 and I got my truck back a few days ago. Insult to injury....somebody backed into it at the supermarket. They left scene without info so now I have to get my front bumper repaired.
Truck runs amazing. There is no vibration in the driveline and 4wd works amazing too. I am happy with my...
I am hoping so and that dawned on me 5 minutes after the phone call and the work it needs set in. I still can't believe this ...a universal joint failure smoked my transmission.
The shop called with a diagnosis and just added $500 more dollars to my repair bill.
He said "The transmission case is cracked at the tail end. Your rear universal of the front drive shaft failed and the shaft spun around and crashed into the side of your transmission, totaling it. You need a...
Thank you all for the input. The cheapest quote I received was through a friend who is a shop owner who farms out tranny work.
I do not know the warranty on this "cheaper" rebuild. I am hoping that the case did not crack. He asked me if I looked at the transfer case yet because that might be...
Three miles into a twelve mile commute at approximately 65mph on a slight incline I hear a loud shotgun sounding bang and then smoke started entering the cabin. I immediately swerved through traffic onto the shoulder with a huge smoke cloud behind me. A hundred things were running through my...
Ok cool. I definitely do NOT have a high idle...complete opposite. I am getting crap MPG too. Averaging 10mpg while granny driving (Keeping it under 2,000rpm) and 8mpg driving "normal". Everything is stock except led lighting.
So I've been battling with the infamous error code# 32.
I've spent hours checking fittings and finally decided to feel along every vacuum line under the hood. I finally found a line with a substantial hole in it and am wondering what exactly it does?
To my knowledge this line runs from the...
So I'm not the only one?
I bent the arm and got a couple more inches but it is still crap. It's been snowing and raining all week. Can't see out of the rear window. :gunner:
I went to pepboys yesterday and they only had one listing for a rear blade....a 13" Bosch 41913. I installed it and the whole blade touches the glass when parked...however, it does not wipe 6" of the center between "11 & 1". So the first third and last third are spotless...the middle untouched...
I took the blade off and yes the arm touches the glass.
I reinstalled the original arm and realized that old setup did not put any of the blade in contact with the window. So I reinstalled the new arm and it is pushing down harder towards the glass but only has a 2" contact patch.
I will hit...
That's what I'm thinking. It can't be a wrong arm...it's direct from the dealer and I verified the part number in my parts catalog before ordering/installing.
I will try to get a new wiper blade tomorrow. We have a couple inches of snow coming so I don't know if I will get stuck working through...
Hello everyone,
Just checking in from Long Island, NY.
I picked up a 1995 GMC Yukon GT a couple weeks ago for what I feel was a good deal for the condition it's in. I want to build it up to be a daily driver by day and a fish chasing beach cruiser by night.
Here are a few pics of my stead.
