Sputtering problem solved and now i need some assistance.

well now on top of the regulator problem my truck has seem to develop a charging issue. At idle my battery is at 14.5 volts, driving with less than half throttle accelerating it stays at 14.5 volts, however when I give it more than half throttle the volt gauge drops right down to 9 volts lights...

Sputtering problem solved and now i need some assistance.

The problem turns out that my fuel pressure regulator is shot. Hooked up a gauge, turn key on and crank im at 58 psi idle holds at 58psi but I shut it off and it drops to 20 psi in only a minute. Knowing I need a regulator and the work involved in swapping that, i'm trying to figure out what...

Weird sputtering plague.

I'm having a weird sputter once my truck warms up to running temp. I thought I had it fixed when I installed a accel cap and rotor it ran great for about a week and a half. Before it always did it around 50-55 mph at 2000 rpm. Now its doing it around 2200 rpm and getting worse. Could it be my...

brake lights acting up.

hmm, well I figured something funky out tonight. I rolled the brake switch up off the bar it clips on and now they work great. However it's not right obviously. Any input on my next steps? I've narrowed it down to the switch which is new, just not understanding why it will only work rolled...

The easiest way to describe my problem is this, when I apply my brakes like 1/8th of the way they light up, however if I press past that they go out, my license plate lights, reverse, and parking all work fine. I replaced the brake light switch up under the dash, regrounded the harness...

How to: NBS master cylinder swap for firm brake pedal

Deleted my ABS yesterday because I have a sas and rear disc's, next mod is going to be this upgrade, should really dial it in aside from hydroboost which i'd rather not do at the moment. Thanks for the info and part#s

Id forget about a rollpan and put a nice steel bumper out back witch recovery points to assist youre friends.

brake lights not working correctly, swapped to new switch, still issues.

Thanks a lot Smurfcivic for the tip! those grounds were horrid. Redid them and problem solved. I also removed my ABS system today and am getting a firmer pedal now, however i'm going to remove my 1/4 line running back and replace with 3/16 from the master cylinder back to the axle. Need more...

I forgot to mention I replaced the boards on the tail lights when I did the switch. I checked the switch, it's secure, i'll look into grounds next. Any other ideas?

As stated my brake lights are not operating correctly. When I hit the pedal 1/4 ish they come on fine, add more pressure they go out. I figured ok, brake switch under the dash, removed replaced with new and still the same issue.... mmmkk, now im stumped. What else should I look for? I am sas'd...

Trans number 3, toast?

trans ended up getting completely cooked. Bought one from my buddies dad who is a really good trans builder. Also putting a bigger cooler in and should be good after that.

Well it seems I may have cooked another trans. Shifts perfectly fine until it get's warm, than from 1st it shifts to 2nd and gets a shudder at low rpm, seems fine in 3rd until you lay half throttle than it slips and OD becomes non existent. The trans has roughly 15k miles on it and was built by...
