I change oil every 5k miles. I don't think it matters about brand

Use the local box store Brand. It as to meet the sd,sf whatever the current specifications requirements. as far as additives regular oil changes keep the oil from breaking down. My Chevy mechanic father in law used valvoline or havoline oil as they were equilvalent type oiils. He didn't have any issues with castrol oil. I used castrol oil before the box stores came out with their own oils. I go to an oil change house that uses Pennzol and that it what my 88 gets and has since I bought it 2 1/2 years ago.

Hmm funny, I thought blinkers were optional equipment in Florida? I never noticed anyone using them while I was there, especially on the turnpike haha

ACDelco 5W30 atm, because that's what I have in house for cheap. We're a parts store and auto stop combined, so whatever they get on sale is usually what I run..- then again, we stock Shell and Mobil regularly, so I've used that stuff too. 7k oil change intervals (kms) is what I'm running.
