OCD means you might need meds. I prefer the term inquisitive. I've got enough medical "labels" to deal with.

what's in a label? LOL.....
yea, i know about all that ****. if i believed half of it i wouldn't get out of bed.......i thank God most of my problems are mechanical....the insurance company pays the mechanic to fix me up a bit. i keep up with the maintenance, i ain't ready to be put in the junkyard.

i used to have a bad case of FUKT.....but now i don't......funny how that works

i just got off the phone with Will, he owns Susquehanna MotorSports......let me say, he graciously gave me a half hour of his time......we discussed everything from lighting, history, sailing ships and candle wax.

i see no reason to go ANYWHERE else for any of my lighting needs come the future. if you folks have questions, concerns and lighting needs i'd recommend you ring him up.....literally a "mom and pop" operation....that's my favorite kind of business........when i'm able, i plan on pointing my front wheel in his direction and riding out to see him......they've been in business over 25 years and were one of the first companies to have a website for reference, back in '90.......very impressed i am.

tell him Bill, the biker with the old GMC sent ya.

Here's something ALMOST on topic...

So my Anzo parking lights were developing cracks on both the Suburban and my red truck, where the screws go through the corners. My fault for tightening them down too far, of course. If it's plastic, I can break it! Anyway, the Anzos are almost $40 per set. Didn't really feel like spending that if I didn't have to, so I started searching around for other options. Found these, the only brand markings I can find are on the boxes, "DNA Motoring." Type the part number BLC10CH into eBay or Amazon and you'll find them. They're a little cheaper on eBay, I got them for about $17 per set. The only thing I'm not sure if I like is the black sealant they used around the lens. I honestly don't think it'll bug me in the long run, though. Waiting on a couple more bulbs to show up before I put them in. One thing I DO like is that they have the three horizontal lines in the lens molding, just like my headlights. Kind of bothered me that the Anzos didn't...

what is this "topic" you speak of?
actually i'm surprised we're not talking about helicopters or kangaroos by now......

since it's both your trucks and the same lens, have you thought about UV damage, shrinkage and or expansion/contraction....lest you are just captain torque wrist?

cool on you those have the triple lens detail that matches......that may go into the OCD category though.....LOL.

here they are on Amazon.... https://www.amazon.com/DNA-Motoring-BLC10CH-Bumper-Light/dp/compatibility-chart/B01EXXTC1W

Oh I'm definitely OCD when it comes to lighting. I don't personally know anyone else who has taken a set of tail lights to a body shop!

I had thought about UV damage or thermal maybe, but both trucks are garaged these days so their exposure is pretty limited. I think I'm just captain torque wrist! I stripped two out of three oil filter cover bolts on my ATV a few months ago, and I thought I was being gentle... Still need to get that fixed...

EDIT - Fun fact, I once stripped the oil drain plug on that same ATV by hand. Either the block is made of Chinesium or I've taken my father's mantra of "brute strength and awkwardness fixes all" a little too seriously...

Same thing with plastic grilles, you can only put the screw tight enough to 'retain' the part. Plastic and steel have different expansion rates, I simply put them snug enough to retain it, and allow the different parts to expand and contract.

Never had a cracked tab or lens that way.

seems you can break a ball-bearing in a sandbox with a rubber mallet..........i think i'd procure quality 1/4", 3/8"AND a 1/2" torque wrenches if i did that ****.....LMFAO. glad you didn't do my back surgery.
