Picked out the paint today .... Red Candy pearl. With wet look. I wanted to do Kawasaki green but my interior is red. It wouldn't look right to me. So red w/ black accents it is.
Im thinking about doing a custom rain drop effect on my hood . Not bad @ 150$. Its a single stage Acrylic. I didnt want to spend allot on paint . I know I will be 4x4ing and mess it up.
Now I have to build a spray booth on the side of the garage. I hate spraying cars in the open air I always get **** in the paint.
Grabbed a flowmaster 40 series muffler . I love the sound of them with matching high flow cat. People dont realize this but cats actually move your effective HP, TQ band lower in the RPM range.
Next wrap exhaust plumb cold side weld BOV. PSHHHHTTTT

So I ran the AN6 fuel line , hooked up my adjustable fuel pressure regulator , ran the braided line for my transmission cool welded in my wide band and egt probe wrapped my exhaust with 3000F pulverized lava dusk wrap . Relocated my battery to my trunk. I still have to secure the line to the frame. Cold side piping and front mount next.

Any of you that have done LSX swaps or 24x, what truck spark plug wires are you using for the coils. I spent 50$ on a set last year just to find out there to small :( . I need a longer set now.

So I haven't gotten much work done in the past week I had some side work that took up all my time. My wifes co worker got the shaft from some craigslist ******* buying a car. With in 8 days of buying it , the engine was drinking huge amounts of oil , water and over heating . Her knowing squat about cars ignored it and a rod started knocking. I told her rather than buying another piece of crap buy a engine and have it swapped. We found a JDM motor for the civic with between 30 and 50k miles for 350$ I gave her a quote of 500$ for the job and she had me do it.
With my extra money I payed a bill and searched craigslist and found a sweet set of rims (Ballistic Jester) and tires for 200$. Im pretty excited. I think they look killer but now force me to throw a set of 4:10 gears in front and back because there quite bit bigger(35x12.5xR17) and upgrade the rear end sooner.
More work to be done on the cold side tomorrow.

I must say I was a bit skeptical at first about how quickly this would get done and if it would get done but now I'm really liking what I see. I'm curious to see where you spool that snail. I have a Whipple that'll be going on this year but I'll struggle to make 6# of boost. I could conservatively run 10# all day long with a turbo, but my concern would be how soon it achieved said 10# as its main purpose would be to help me drag my trailer locked up in OD. Well, that and blowing peoples' doors off. :D
