Not really an update on the truck but we finally got snow on the 27th, better late than never. It's only an inch or two but at least it's white all over, hasn't melted and we are getting more. This is the first time in a long time that I've actually been looking forward to getting snow (even tho I hate the cold), it's funny how something so simple as having a 4x4 can change your mind! :)
If only the rest of the population would get a decent fvcking vehicle with decent wintertires so they can actually drive when a few snowflakes hit the ground that would be great! I nearly ran over a moron in his tiny piece of **** car on the way to work this morning... driving 30mph on a winding 45mph road without streetlights in complete darkness can get a man killed, I suspect he was drunk or just a really sh!tty driver... swaying all over the place, nearly ending up in the ditch and not keeping an even speed. It's way too easy for some people to get a drivers license...

I've been wanting to see how well the truck does with the wintertires I have, I finally had a chance and both does great! It's funny how my 18 yo low tech truck does better in snow and ice conditions than new vehicles with all that esp abs blah blah stuff (okay, my truck has abs but it works nothing like modern abs). The Magnum is a nightmare in these conditions and has both esp and abs, I'm so happy I got this truck!

Yesterday leaving work. Btw, this is as close as we get to daylight this time a year (unless the sky is clear and the sun decides to come out, which doesn't happen very often)

The ABS in our trucks is... finicky, to say the least. Good lookin' truck though! Needs a 4" suspension lift IMHO :)

Actually, I like the way the abs works in my truck... the harder I push the pedal the more it brakes unlike new vehicles that just makes weird noices and keeps going. The lack of "modern technology" is one of the biggest reasons why I wanted an older truck.
Thanks, I've been thinking about a lift... I like the size my summer tires are and how they look in the wheel openings so I have no interest in going bigger but a little more hight wouldn't hurt. Who makes a good 4" lift?

There are a few companies. Rough Country is a good one, and fairly cheap as well.

Rough County is quite affordable Stateside, and of good quality, Superlift also makes a decent kit. Nice truck! And nice to see all you've been able to do with it over there!

I'm curious which(if any) countries have right hand drive gmt400s. I haven't gone back to look for any pics to tell which side your wheel is on. Is yours right or left?

RC seams to be a very popular company, but they don't ship outside of US and Canada. I know their kit is available here throu import companies but they're about twice of what RC charges tho.

Yeah I know, but no shipping outside of US and Canada, seams to be the same with Superlift. If it's sold by companies like Summit than I can get it shipped here pretty easy and cheap.
Thanks! It's not that difficult to get the parts it just takes forever to get them here, anything over 2 feet long has to go by boat to keep costs down and that'll take somwhere between a month or three...

What I meant is that I don't want bigger tires, I guess I'm one of very few people that aren't completely sold on 35"... I think my 31.5" are the perfect size. Also this is my dd and it's slow and the mpg sucks as it is, it doesn't need to get worse (gasoline is about 3x more expencive here than in the US). I wouldn't mind if it was a bit higher but I don't want the majority of what that involves, I've been going back and forth since I bought it if I wanna lift it or not...
