wow yall must be some skinny dudes, truck doesn't look far enough off the ground to get under it lol. I have to go up 2 8 inch blocks high under the lower control arms on the monte carlo to get under it LOL. I just got done doing this though, th350 install on the monte carlo, but it's all buttoned up and running, it won't take you long now. Only took a couple hours to throw it in and get it bolted up, then a couple more to bolt all the rest up, but I had to take the pipes off, PS header and starter, 4 plugs and wires and the dist. cap loose LOL.

I wish all those pans would have had a drain plug originally, and everyone of those aftermarket add on drain plug's that I have seen leak.

I've got a factory drain on my 4L80e and love it........ I have no idea why that wasn't common practice previously.

NO NO NO, get ya a vac. hand pump the kind with the hose and feed it down the dipstick and get some out. We had to do that very same thing, worked great, better then looseing over 5 quarts then putting them back in.

i agree even when you are going to drop the pan it sure makes it nice to drain it first.

What's not to like about balancing a gallon of transmission fluid above your head in a pan slightly thicker than a cookie sheet?:Moon:
