Ok...so I'm about to redo my truck...completely. Paint, stereo, rims, tires, lighting...the whole 9. I want to do the 4" spindles and shocks cause I need them anyway. My question is I want to keep it 5 lug and I really want to go with weld draglites and 32 or 33" bfg's. my question is they only come in 15x10's with a 5.5 or 6.5 back spacing. Are these too wide? Will the back spacing work? Do you have to change the rear lugs for spacers on the rear? Any tips would be great. Thanks!

Hey everyone, so i'm looking to do the 4in rough country lift but i see that the 4in lift kit doesn't come with springs like the 2in lift kit does. I'm wanting to replace the springs in my truck (stock 2wd RCLB). So do i still run my old springs or do i need new springs for the 4in lift and what springs do i get? Thanks

I just got done installing this lift on my truck. I did not touch the springs. The stock springs that are on there stay in place and you are only needing to replace the spindle with the one provided by rough country.

Does that mean that I can still use 3" coil spacers up front to get 7" up front ? id assume that means id be using a 4-5" block out back, but I am planning to do a shackle flip on mine to get the driveshaft angle back nice so might not need a block on the rear at all. Im not sure yet how much lift the flip will gain anyways at the moment. main thing is to not have to deal with a body lift at all right now. later on if i plan to go any bigger id like to have that option instead of messing with the suspension anymore. anyone running lift spindles and a spacer up front or lift coils?

get 3" coils, not spacers and you'll need aftermarket uppers to correct alignment. and that would give you 7"
usually a shackle flip yields 4"

which aftermarket uppers you guys using? is there a cheaper one than the others? and i dunno if it can be done on these trucks but has anyone ever tried using the tubular 1-ton arms but flipped upside down and swap them side to side? ive done it before on my old spquarebodies when lowering without spindles way back in the day, wonder if it works on these? i already know id have to modify the bj holes to get the smaller one to fit but thats no biggie really.

8 lug upper have a different bj bolt pattern.

i know fabtech made some (i have a cpl sets and they work great) but only way you'll get them is used.
iirc canuck makes some, but i cant remember any others off top of my head.
im sure the other guys will chime in. i know there are other ones out there.

Yup I know the bj plates are different bolt patterns and that they have to be modified, I know whats involved to make that work. What im asking is has anyone ever flipped them upside down while swapping them side to side right to left, but with the factory 1-ton tubulars? I dont think the stamped ones would work because of clearance issues hitting the spring pocket but from the looks of it the tubulars would work and im sure it be cheaper if it did. I might try it if no one else has if I dont foresee some major prob by then. Be less than $50 to try it im sure.
