After I got Barons HD harness with 4Hi, which was awesome, I bought new TYC Elegante housings and HID's. I was a little surprised that the HID's were not as bright as I thought they would be. I actually was so disappointed in them that I ordered some HIR's right away. Now that I have them in I am blown away at how bright they are. Much better than the HID's.

Really?? Not arguing with you (just my opinion), I have had HIDs in my '97 since Xmas of 2005, and would never thinking about switching back. But with the lower voltage draw they have and increased light output (depeninding on what color/temp you get) and the amount of other things I have drawing power from the battery, I will stick with the HIDs. Like I said, this is just my opinion.

And when I installed Baron's harness, I did notice they were a little brighter, nothing drastic, but I could tell they were. Now I just need to get new housings.

I'm on stock lighting, just ordered Barons HD/4 harness and I'm going to give the HIR's a try, ordering them tomorrow.
