LOL my man... I uttered those exact words just a few posts later. Too funny, but too true!If you want something more aggressive, go with the AT2 Michelin. They are extremely quiet and wear like iron.

I am in the need of new tires and a mechanic at my local shop also recommended Michelins. He said most OBS Chevys get either the "LTX A/T2" or the "Defender LTX M/S".
Couple of questions for a 6 Lug K1500 with the 16X7/6.5J alloy rims.
Does it matter if I get LT245 tires if the door jam tag recommends P245? I think the only difference is number of ply sidewalls, This leads to a stiffer ride when unladen, but that's not something I care about.
The AT2 has a max PSI of 80 but the door jam say cold tire pressure of 35. Can the alloy rims handle higher pressures and if so what should the correct cold pressure be then?
The alloy rims should have a weight rating stamped on them. I don't remember if they have a max psi as well, gotta yank it and see. The pressures inside the door only apply to the size and spec of the tire it rolled off the line with.
Thanks, I used a mirror to read off the P/N (9592244) for the rim. Some searching lead to an EBay listing for the rim with a good shot of the P/N and Max Load + PSI stamps.
2000 lbs max load, 55 psi maximum pressure.

Found these two pressure charts for LT and P tires:
LT245/75R16 Tire Pressure Chart - TirePressure.com
Find corresponding tire load capacity at specified tire inflation pressures for LT245/75R16 tires to maintain proper tire inflation for a safe drive.tirepressure.comP245/75R16 Tire Pressure Chart - TirePressure.com

Now the risk with going with an LT tire rather than a P tire on these rims is that to get a similar 2000 lbs load I would have to pressurize the LT tire to about 50 psi.
From experience I know that the hot tire pressure can easily get that extra 5 psi over cold to put it right at the max for the rim.
So better safe than sorry, and go with a P tire.
As the LTX A/T2 doesn't seem to come in P245/75R16's, looks like I'm going with the Defender LTX M/S.
Does anyone know of a metal stem that works with the PF4 aluminum rims? Looks like it's the common stem P/N (09593595) , but I don't know if there is any weird metal on metal contact or countersink diameter that I would have to consider.
