Ok, you dont come across as an azzole, no worries. The truck blows warm air, not hot.well I dont mean to sound like an a$$hole but it looks like you awnserd your own question...
without a thermostat the engine will NEVER get up to operating temps and therefore the coolant will NEVER get hot enough to blow warm air.
put a thermostat in your truck before you destroy that engine.
I realize dash gauges are crap, but warms up to 160-180 indicated.
Thermostat may be the problem, would be the easy fix, I will try it first.
With this being said, when I drove it the other day, for 9 hours at 2700rpm from Tulsa to Lafayette, I truly believe it was at operating temp and I was not going to destroy anything.
