Cycle the abs as a first step, for sure. While I was downloading and trying to get torque pro or garage pro or one of the other apps I have on my phone working I got pissed off, jumped in the truck and cycled my abs 10 times on the back half of my grassy laneway. Every time the brakes felt better and better. The abs works wonderfully on my 97 Burb, i didnt even tare up the grass at all, well except for when I was getting up to speed... ok i was having some fun as this is as close as she gets to offroad anymore. LOL
Abs can save your life I dont understand why people delete it but I have a theory, they dont live in the snow and it never gets used and so it fails. Then they get frustrated and remove it. Oh ya Iv had a car without abs, a beautiful 1980 Malibu Classic that my buddy fkn destroyed. If there was a vehicle coming when I spun it around on the highway someone was getting hurt. While spinning in circles doing 100KM/H does one pump the brakes or what? At least with a functioning abs system it should stop sooner than not or maybe I wouldn't have spun around on that black ice when I touched the brakes to leave the highway... G80 + crown of the road simply spun me around but there was nothing I could do to get it under control until it stopped spinning. My GF was screaming.... with no vehicles coming, i was laughing but it was truly terrifying.
