Yeah the 6.5's will sound better than the 4x6. For speakers I just want to use the factory locations and I plan on building a custom sub box under the rear seat. He only problem with 6.5's is they don't put out as much bass as say a 6x9 or a sub. I was thinking of putting in two 8" subs or a...

I have to agree with the Sony recommendation. They make some great head units in the $100 price range. I just bought the CDX-GT660UP to put in my jeep wrangler and I love it. I got it new off eBay for a little under $100. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_40309_Sony-CDX-GT660UP.html

When you say make a baffle for them that just an MDF ring between the speaker and the mounting surface right. I'm not sure how much room there is back there, would this cause clearance problems? How thick of MDF? I was leaning towards either kickers or kenwoods. I hear oval shaped speakers...

Yeah I have the 3rd door and besides I don't want to cut the trim to pieces getting 6x9's back there. Thanks for the input. I'll have to look at the xplodes, I don't wanna spend an arm n a leg on small 4x6. Id rather put that money towards subs. I have this amp...

Yeah the rear driver side speaker is blown. Buzzes like crazy and the front passenger side is on its way out. The previous owner blew the rear but he just unplugged the rear speakers from the head unit instead of fixing them... I can't do that. If your gonna do something, do it right. Will 4" in...
