4l60e working great, came to stop sign, lost all forward gears.

I just bought a 97 5.7 that did the same thing to the last owner. Starting a swap soon, and curious to pull the old one apart when I have time. I want to know what went on in there.

Interesting. I'll have to check the line positions. Based on the tag, it was behind a 5.7

I've seen that. It doesn't really answer whether or not a 2 piece will bolt up and run.

Hey guys, I have a conundrum. I'm working on a Trans swap in a 97 k1500 ex cab that I recently picked up for stupid cheap. The truck has a rebuilt 5.7 and runs like a dream. The main issue that I have is that the original Trans (225k on it) has reverse but no forward gears at all. No funny...
