I don't I believe they are a 2 degree shim they where super minimal. They are the shim belltech suggests for a 4" rear drop. My driveshaft angles perfect with these and my 5" rear drop, but I also kept my 5 leaf spring packs. If your doing 4" rear drop with a 4 leaf spring pack you'll likely...

    Improved handling

I purchased the base lowering kit I started with from here https://thedropshop.ca/ I just used the shim kit they provided when they sent it out

With 4WD may be different, but my advice if drag racing is your goal activity...I would do what your planning with a 4 leaf 1500 spring pack rear swaybar and completely ditch the front swaybar or find a way to quick disconnect...my truck consistently spins both back tires now on a launch with...

Are you going 5" rear like I did or 4"

Ive had the BFG radial T/A on for less then a month, but I really like them? Multiple reviews I read online stated the BFG was the better tire so for the extra $400 thats the route I went. If Im being entirely honest I didnt want to do the BFG or the Cooper I wanted the Mickey Thompson Sportsman...

    Improved handling

The cooper's were cheaper, but I like the BFG tread pattern and the look of BF-Goodrich in raised white letters on the sidewalls. Most all reviews that I read state the BFG is the better performance tire...the tire itself is fantastic the only thing working against me is the tall sidewall which...

    Improved handling

So I read the opposite BFG was more the "performance" tire then the cooper's ‍lol oh well...I'm 2" drop hangers and a 3" drop shackle but I can definitely snap a pic next time I've got the tires off

If I change up tires will likely be to a set of factory 18" OEM rims off a newer silverado or tahoe, and some stickies. I won't be making that change for a long while though as I just put the new tires on my rally rims. We'll see in the future if I decide to make the change when the time comes

    Improved handling

So figured I'd post an update seeing as this got far more interest and questions then anticipated. Solid front swaybar is in and I ran it down my little test track of turns. It doesn't wanna weight transfer hard to the outside tire as it did least not as bad. My old swaybar was in fairly rough...

    Improved handling

No part numbers but all easily found on Google...front is belltech 3" drop keys, rough country steering stabilizer, energy suspension poly swaybar bushings, a-team perf. solid front 30mm sway bar, the back is belltech 2" drop hangers meant for a tahoe? I believe or suburban, generic amazon...

    Improved handling

Good to know...all part of that learning curve this is more in depth with steering and suspension then I've ever gotten...surprisingly steering wise it's really good doesn't wander grab ruts in the road or bump steer. I'm a firm believer my steering stabilizer made a big difference in...

    Improved handling

Sorry I'm on cold medicine right now so the brain is running half mast. My tie rods right now mimic the angle of my CV's they are angled up while not a big deal I feel like its not the ideal. I notice my tire cambers a lot as I'm turning the closer I get to full lock I believe it's called...
  13. BCChevyZ71

    Improved handling

It works honestly like I said there's no binding honestly I hate my rod angles more then anything if I could flip then I'd be happier it tips the top of the tire more then I care for under full lock

    Improved handling

They are angled up slightly if memory serves me correct but nothing seems to be binding at all I've run it up a summit pass in 4WD with it like this and no issues to speak of...give me a bit and I'll snap a photo of them

    Improved handling

So that's with the 3" belltech drop keys I'm as low on them as I can go with these keys up front and 5" total drop using 2" drop spring hangers and 3" drop shackles no c notch out back...I could likely do a c-notch and justify it but I'm gonna let it ride for now and see how it is. It sits on...

    Improved handling

I believe my fenders are basically all 30.25" with 245/75r16 tires I'd have to re-measure with my new tires though

    Improved handling

I believe my truck was already spec'ed with 3/4 ton bars with the F44 pkg? I could be very wrong about that...and cool! Sorento is a nice place! I'm gonna be at the lethbridge car show the street wheelers weekend I just seen your in AB

The second photo looks weird because I had rear wheel spacers on trying to even out the stance....but they are off it now

    Improved handling

The plan is absolutely to become more active on the forum. Im going to update this thread soon as the swaybar is in and I shake the truck down a bit...I'm doing a ton of learning as I go so all the knowledge from here is invaluable

    Improved handling

I've thought about it once my suspension is reasonably dialed bodywork is next then motor and possibly AWD....I wanted to hit the ground running so I could have some fun with it this spring/summer before it goes under the knife for bodywork in the fall...then it's motor and depending how much...

    Improved handling

Yeah I mean it's tough ultimately I know I'm trying to do something with a truck that was never designed at all for what I'm doing. The fact that it's a Z71 4x4 has been helpful in some ways and a major obstacle in others. I've also really just started breaking into the world of lowered trucks...

    Improved handling

Fair and ultimately if I keep down this rabbit hole it's inevitable I will eventually step up in rim diameter...I'm just hoping maybe to find that happy medium you know
  24. BCChevyZ71

    Improved handling

The best way to explain it is the back is really tight the front is looser then the back aside from shocks and poly swaybar bushings and links I've done nothing to stiffen the front. So I get a lot of oversteer which I don't entirely mind, but now the front feels like it likes to dive and body...

My swaybar should be here Tuesday if I get it in during the week I'll update sooner otherwise it'll be next weekend and then if it's still diving too much adjustable shocks it is
