Thanks! North Central Illinois 1977 K20 front calipers, pads, and rotors. Thanks! They are progressive rate coils from Tom's Bronco Parts, with 1.5 wraps removed from the "tender" spring.- JohnnyU

Correct, although it's arguably a moot point since the real weak link seems to be the stock 30 spline outers on either vintage. That's not really the question that the OP was asking. He was asking whether it would be beneficial to find a 77.5-79 version for the narrower spring pad width of 32.5".- JohnnyU
