Made it there and the instructor wouldnt even touch it! Guess I'll be going to a local shop for their opinion the only thing I can think of is I got the wrong part?
Too late. (probably a good thing) connected it right here http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/Wes_Best/media/21408400004_large_zpsff38f42a.jpg.html (Not my engine). Alligator clips come in handy! Trucks running ok I'll definitely be able to make it to the shop tomorrow. Thanks guys so much!
Coming...
I got the new one put it in and it was still over heating so I pulled it so my instructor could look at it tomorrow and the darn thread gave out coolant started leaking everywhere. So I pulled the housing RTVed it and put lock tight on the bolts so I can get it 17 miles to baker. In the mean...
They gave me a faulty thermostat. I'll flush the entire system wednesday and replace clutch fan. Sorry if anyone was offended by my actions. I'm running no thermostat until tonight when I get the new one.
I go to baker and have access to there ALL Data which is worth thousands of dollars. I can find wiring diagrams for anything and a torque spec on a darn seat belt thing!
I feel like we have a dwindling community and no one wants to help each other. We should have a spot for write-ups for everything even a darn fuse. I only have access to all data 2 hours a day. I could print out and repost any thing as a write up
If it makes you guys feel any better I sideswiped the out of my brothers car while backing out to retest the temp five minutes ago. So thank you for making me feel like crap and adding to the stress I've had today
I said that I was working on the thermostat and I'm talking about my 5 other threads I don't get any responses on I'm hoping fullsize chevy has a larger base of users that are open to giving me assistance
it ran just slightly hot on my way to work after removing air from cooling system I drove for 15 minutes then had to stop twice from overheating then the temp kept fluctuating from 230 to 215 the rest of the 10 minute drive
This is the cooling system from hell! Overheating with this new thermostat and I spent hours blurping out the air so I know that's not the problem lower rad hose is cold and upper isn't pressurized!
