    I found a reel light at the JY, mounted to the firewall of a ... truck I forget the specs on. My '98 has dimples on the firewall in the same spot which line up with the holes in the light, but I haven't found the plug for it yet.

    Just google "Chevy China Wall" and check out how many of them leak. When they leak they drip down the front & rear of the engine and make you think you've got main seal issues.

    Mine was real tight too, but I'd lubed it really well before hand and with a little pulling it came up into place. Make sure the hole in the intake manifold has no burrs or wear spots on it, a little time polishing that up might help.

    Yeah, we called it the G80 without even really knowing that was Chevy's RPO code. RWD Volvos (like that 740) use a Dana 30. I don't care much for welding parts to the diff like that, I prefer to chop that weight off rather than add something to keep it in place.
