    Front Lower Control Arms

I would try and get the older knuckles if I were to do it again honestly.

Did you read my posts on this? You have to do a good amount of grinding on the spindles to get the factory turning radius and the lower control arms where the ball joint bolts on.

    Front Lower Control Arms

Caman96, ALL of the 97-2000 bars are now discontinued! I literally bought my set about 6 months ago. I'm not sure if the newer year bars still fit. I feel like they would be a different length since they break them up in categories by year ranges.

Look for the rpo codes in your glove box sticker. If that sticker is gone, go to compnine.com and pay $5 to run like 5 vins. This will pull up and tell you the correct bars for your truck. Then you can cross reference the rpo codes to the sheets online that give you the GM part numbers. I think...

I am not totally certain but I believe if you can get the 1st design spindles then you shouldn't need to grind, but I don't have any to compare to. The stock 98 spindles required more than I would have liked to grind but I had no option at the time. This may be unrelated but I'm getting...

    Engine swap question

Hey, look int othe Vermont registration.... They do out of state just like South Dakota. I live in Missouri and register all my vehicles in South Dakota as an "Out of State" registration. For Vermont you just need a clean VIN and a bill of sale not even notarized. Then once you get a clean...

    Dipstick tube and heat shields

Check out the ACCEL 9000 series ceramic boot spark plug wires. I quit using heat shields on my LT1 car with these, the boots are solid and feel like porcelain and rated for some ridiculous amount of heat. It also gives you a solid pull to remove the boots and don't have to worry about them...

    Front Lower Control Arms

Based on the age and the 251,000+ miles, I can honestly say it was well worth changing to new torsion bars over reusing them. My passenger side adjuster was over an inch in compared to the drive side before doing all of this work so I knew they were long shot. It rides so much better after doing...

    Front Lower Control Arms

The measurements appear the same. It does look slightly different than a 1st design 88-95 arm. I was looking at a 91 k1500 and it has a slightly different end on it where the ball joint bolts on. Because I have the 2nd design LCA it took a lot more grinding to get the steering angle back. If I...

    Front Lower Control Arms

So as promised, I got the alignment today at Car-X and I did tell them I wanted 0* of camber as I had the terrible outside tire wear when I got my new set of tires and alignment 8 years ago... But here are the results. LF camber -.1 : RF Camber 0.0 LF Toe .03 : RF Toe .16 Now I have a new set...

    Front Lower Control Arms

Final photo post Now one thing to note here is that I had to roll the tie rod adjuster so that it pointed up for the best clearance. I didn't take note to the amount of clearance before pulling the old arms off and I wish I had done that... At full suspension droop it makes contact if the...

    Front Lower Control Arms

Hi everyone! I wanted to give a huge thank you to wb292. I was going down the path on my 98 k1500 of needing to do a front end rebuild and kept neglecting it until I decided to install the Rough Country hidden winch mount and a 12k winch. My tires were cambered pretty hard and caused a ton of...
