I searched through most of this post but couldn't find any definitive answer other than a guy that swapped his quad beams for composite doing the mod but my question is will this mod work with a 1988 k1500 with stock quad beam lights?- JebusKrist

Very odd oil pressure gauge problem...
The radio seems linked directly to the loping/stumbling idle and the fact the voltage gauge is reading <12v definitely would cause electronics to cycle if the voltage dipped too low, What I find perplexing is if it were a bad ground wouldn't it be constant not intermittent when the truck has...- JebusKrist

Very odd oil pressure gauge problem...
Looks like burkey05 hit the nail on the head, had someone crawl under and take a peek for me and removed the wire grounded it out which pegged the oil pressure gauge high so now I'll just replace that part & suspect that will fix this strange oil pressure gauge issue :) thanks to all who replied!- JebusKrist

I'll check for that sender after the weather calms down around here, I'd casually glanced in that area but didn't see anything never looking too hard because everyone always told me they deleted it from that location for the one behind the distributor and the Chilton's/Haynes makes no mention of...- JebusKrist
