    Is anyone aware of plastic rocker panel covers available for a 96 K1500. I'm looking for a panel that covers more than just the bottom rocker. I have found some chrome or stainless ones, but no plastic. I send a lot of time in the woods and tend to dent my rockers

    I was given a Brush Guard for my 1996 K1500. The guy said it came off a similar year Tahoe but didn't have the brackets. The Brush Guard has no brand name on it. Does anyone have pictures of mounting brackets so I can try to make some? Thanks

    Checked the pressure mannually using one of the fittings on the oil filter housing. Much easier than the oil pressure sensor. It appears these may be for a oil cooler.     Yes, I agree the PO may not have been completely straight with me, but I traded him even for a 6 cyl, 99 mustang with over 2000,000 miles. Even if I have to repower I think I'be OK on the deal. I'll know more when I check the pressure manually this weekend. thanks again for everyone's responses

    That's correct. Someone told me that there is a place on the oil filter housing were you can screw in a manual guage to verify oil pressue. Is anyone familiar with this?

    I;m not sure. I just got the truck a couple of weeks ago. The dash shows 280,000, but the PO said he put a new motor in about 30,000 miles ago. The motor really runs good. No shakes or shudders. No lifter noise or motor knocks. Plently of power. I'm really hoping the oil pressure guage is bad...
