Thanks guys, I will look into the valves and so forth as soon as I can and I will keep you all updated. I do have one question, I have had the valve cover off once before due to a oil leak repair I had to remove the A/C compressor and bracket in order to get it off. So how do I run the engine...
I got a 96 ECSB with a 98 motor with about 140,*** miles on the motor. So a couple weeks ago I got on it a little hard leaving a stop sign and afterwards I noticed a major loss of power and a small knock under normal idling conditions so I limped the truck home (2 miles). I started checking...
I really like your set up. We do a lot of tent camping but after seeing your setup has me thinking of doing something like that! Thanks for the ideas.:hmm::smoke2:
I know the feeling as I just had my K1500's replaced back in February just two weeks after I bought it! :Frustrated: Luckily for me, repairing tranny's is what my uncle does for a living so got the "family" discount at $1200.

What is the purpose of swapping to an Escalade cluster when switching to leds? Can they be put into a OEM cluster as well? If so is there a special number to be looking for when ordering the leds?
Where did you get your bumper? Have been looking for one similar to this but not looking to spend alot of $$ on one. Also did you have to beef up your suspension to accommodate the extra weight?
I have a 96 K1500 that has a similar issue, but after scanning it with a computer found that the channels going to and from the EGR is clogged causing the shudder. Mine does it when traveling while maintaining same RPMs and not under a load like going down hill or flat ground. I have been...
