Keyless entry will not go into program mode.
That's what I figured. I held the button and it will honk after 5 seconds then honk twice after another 5 seconds. The module looks like it's in the back by the steering column where the factory one would be and I have the pass lock anti theft so just seems weird they put an aftermarket system...- chevyevery10

I can't read half of my sticker in the glove box. So not certain if their was a factory keyless entry option. Am certain that when I got it, it had keyless with what looked like a factory remote- chevyevery10

Ya. Got everything pulled out and multiple scotch locks. I was certain I had keyless entry with a remote that looked factory. But its looking otherwise. Would programming a new remote still be same procedure or would the aftermarket security change that?- chevyevery10

Keyless entry will not go into program mode.
Don't remember the numbers on it but looked original. The fuses are part of the security. They're by a valet switch and small red light.- chevyevery10

I'm certain. It had a working transmitter when I bought it. Broke it awhile back and just getting around to replacing.- chevyevery10

Keyless entry will not go into program mode.
I have a 98 K1500. I cannot get it to go into Program Mode when trying to program a new key fob. I tried jumping the #4 and #8 on the OBD and nothing happens. I have tested all the fuses and they are fine. I have 2 fuses, not in the manual, bottom left by the parking brake. They look fine but it...- chevyevery10

Keyless entry not going into "Programming Mode"
I have the same issue and i also have those fuses. They look ok and still no response when jumping 4 and 8. Are those fuses aftermarket security?- chevyevery10
