WOT Shifting

If I floor my truck going 1st into second, it won't shift unless I let off. The weird thing is. The speed keeps going, but the tach maxes out. It is a 350/700r4

Not exactly weird. Wheel speed is relative to engine speed for a given gear. Your engine would be more than happy to ingest itself if given the chance. The reason the transmission exists is because of the engine's limitations; limited speed and only so much of it is actually "usable." so the transmissions job is to keep the engine in that happy usable range for any given wheel speed & condition. Anyway, I'm guessing the rev limiter kicked in? Not sure what your problem actually is though, I don't like slush boxes
