Why i think it was hit or po backed onto something

I replaced bumber from used truck. Had a hole on driver side

Most any truck that's existed for 20+ years has some "owies" like that. Most trucks were still used as trucks, for work, when these were newer. I still see a fair amount of 400s every day in greater Houston area, that are "still working", many hauling lawn equipment trailers or a few mowers and weedwackers in the bed.
My biggest concern on things like this, is when some ****** decides to add to them.... Parking lot dings/scrapes, or being backed into because someone doesn't feel the need to pay attention to what they are doing, or "it's just some old junky truck so what does it matter if I bounce my shopping cart off it", etc. Maybe it's not the latest and greatest fancy truck that you're paying $1200! a month for...but it's MY TRUCK and I did not give you permission to mess it up.

Yea. Shes gonna be the work hog while i save for another. Prefer 94 or older 4x4 single cab long bed 2500.

what 2500 you want to upgrade light duty 6 lug or the regular 2500 8 lug I agree 88-94 interior is better
The heavy 8 lug 2500 7.4l i dont like 95 cause my dad has a 3500 and its been a nightmare. Plus i like the 88 94 interior looks almost like the square body

95 is the worst year it is not compatible with any other you it a real oddball the tbi trucks do not make as much power and torque as the 96-00 gmt400s but you can swap a vortec engine in and change intake and sensors and the distributor it will have power and torque between what the tbi makes and what the vortec makes you will also be going back to obd1 350 tbi makes 200-210 hp 300-310 tq 350 vortec 255 hp 330 tq 454 tbi standard 1987-93(90-92 C-1500 454ss) 230 hp 385 tq 454 tbi h.o. 94-95 2500 and 3500 (93 C-1500 454ss) 250 hp 410 tq 454 vortec 290 hp 410 tq
I read about swapping heads and intake manifolds thay way you wouldn't have to pull the engine right? Sense its the same block? Yea dads 95 is causing issues rebuilt 454 overheats enough to glow the manifols cherry red.

the 454 dose not play by the same rules that the 350 you can put 350 votec heads on on a tbi or carb block all vortec engines use a roller camshaft tbi dose not most tbi engines that were put in cars did use a roller cam but the trucks did not some of tbi truck block have the provision for the roller cam
there are 3 main 454 tuck engines mark iv 1970-1990 gen v 1991-1995 gen vi 1996-2000 you can swap heads from mark iv to gen vi or the other way around but gen v is not compatible with the other 2
mark iv 2 pc rear main seal provisions for manual transmission gen v 1 pc rear main seal manual transmission provisions droped and whater jeackets changed gen vi 1 pc rear main seal like gen v but water jackets switch back and manual transmission provisions returned
