Search led to dead links and otherwise no useful info.
Also, is there a electronic actuator (non-thermal) also? Which is better?
Thx for any input.

There is an electric actuator upgrade available for ones that have the old gas style. You buy the actuator and the wiring harness seperately and install it yourself, not a bad job actually.I did it about five years ago and it's still working. The good thing is there's no waiting for it to engage.
Go to LMC Truck, then to page 88.BTW,Dorman makes these also and might be a little cheaper, they're the ones I used.

I'll look at my records and see if I can find the Dorman part numbers.

Found 'em.Keep in mind this is for a 3/4t 9.25 front axle.I would guess they make them for a 1/2t as well.Might be the same...dunno.

Actuator DOR 600-101

Ok I’ll check that out. Mine’s a 6 lug 3/4 ton (heavy half) so I’m guessing same axles as a 1/2 ton. Thx
