The cheapest I have found is an engine shipped for around $1600 from Carolina Machine Engines. They have an optional 5-year warranty for only $275. I can't find any information on them though. They have an A+ rating from BBB, but I would still like to see some real creditable reviews from somewhere before I trust my vehicle to them.

I guess I missed this. Carolina machine is a good company. A friend of mine had his engine built there for his '69 Camaro. Its a hoss of a motor an no issues out of it or them during the build or now two years later.

If I don't go with a new GM crate or ls, I will be getting one from them....
