Hi folks,
New to the forums but not to the truck. I have a 98 Silverado 2dr Standard cab 4x4 that I am getting ready to spruce up a little bit. I have the stock 16x7 wheels currently. I am looking to upgrade a newer GM/Chevy OEM or replica wheel.

Most of the new GM wheels are 8.5" wide and gm parts websites say they are not compatible with my truck even though it is the same bolt pattern. Most of the newer GM wheels have a positive offset around 31mm. I'm not sure what my current offset is, but I think one website showed that it was 0.
Could anyone tell me if the newer 8.5" wheels with positive offsets will work on my truck?
