Weld help

Obviously my tailgate is only holding on by the cables and latch, is there a patch kit to weld in here or do I find some scrap and make something? Anyone repair this issue before?

I'd get a new bed, that's a lot of lines to make right to fix.

I don't know off any kit that will fix that. You might be able to piece it together by starting with flat stock and welding pieces on the upper rail, but it is gonna be cobbled together and will interfere with the tailgate if you get too crazy.

Maybe a local junk yard has a damaged box that they would let you cut a piece off of and weld it in?
