I am thinking about putting in a 350 in my 95 C1500 that has 4.3.

If I buy a complete 350 Votrec and use a TBI intake, can I use the front pulley system still? And will the EGR supply tube fit to the same spot on the TBI intake?

The intake bolt pattern for the TBI is different than the Vortec, the center 2 bolts are angled somewhere around 72*. You can buy a Vortec TBI intake but, it's expensive, or go to a Vortec 4BBL intake and an adapter plate. I don't know about the pulley system, if the heads are drilled and tapped in the front it should work.

Why buy a Vortec long block when you can go with these heads from Summit Racing which flow way better than the cast iron heads? You can throw in a little cam and make a few more ponies.

Edit; these heads are pre-drilled and tapped for your pulley system too.

Edit II; then you can use the same stock intake or the Edelbrock 3704, the EGR is in the same place.

There is someone selling a still in truck vortec and it comes with a TBI intake for it if i want it.

Suppose to be 100k. I can check it out running, with the included intake it seems like a good deal. TBI engines are hard to come by it seems. I don't like buying without hearing it run.

With Vortec heads, EGR becomes a point of modification. GM used to suggest a special driver's side exhaust manifold and EGR tube and some fittings, to bring exhaust gas to the left front corner of the "special" TBI-Vortec manifold. From there, the manifold had internal passages and a place for an EGR valve.

The different bolt-pattern on the Vortec heads are also going to have you fabricating a compatible bracket to hold the throttle cable, cruise cable, and TV cable.
