Hey y’all, made a stupid mistake when replacing my distributor cap and rotor, I took of the original cap and didn’t pay attention to the order, I have new wires and spark plugs but am confused if the corresponding numbers on the cap are firing order or specific pistons? Thanks

Without a bit more information regarding your vehicle, its unclear if you're working on a 1947 Pontiac with an inline 8, 1988 k1500 with a 4.3L, or 2000 k3500 with a 7.4L. Give us year, model, engine and we'll be able to help you out. Assuming you're working on a gmt400, the service manuals are available on the sticky thread in the engine subforum.
