Truck overheating and blowing cold air

I drove the truck this morning and noticed it started blowing cold air and the temp gauge was around 235. I'm going to try and work on it tonight. My first thought was thermostat but figured I'd get some opinions

A Vortec? Check your oil!!! That's the same thing my '98 did when the head gaskets went south!

I changed the oil about 2k ago. I'll check it though. Thanks

Checked the antifreeze? Burped it?
