New to me truck with np241. There is a skid plate for the tc held in by four t50 bolts that keep spinning (the heads aren't stripped but the bolt threads themselves may be); any advice to remove these? Also the fill and drain plugs appear to be large 1 1/4, confirmation on this would be appreciated.

Well I suppose this should have gone in the transfer case forum.

There are nuts on the other end of the bolts. Are they spinning? Or are they stripped?

Theyre spinning, it makes me wonder though because it doesn't feel like theres much of a nut there.

Yeah that plug size sounds right for one of them. I bought a socket for it but can't remember how many mm it was. I just asked in auto zone if I could test fit it and they had no problem with that.

Turns out its a 30mm (1 3/16). I was able to fit the 1 1/4 12 point socket but didn't want to strip it. So ill try the drain and fill without removing the skid plate.
