Hey fellow obs friends, I know I'm going to hear it bad but I'm doing a tbi to carb swap on an 89 2500. Has the 5.7 and a th400 transmission. I'm confused as to if I have to run a TPS or not. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

no TPS with a turbo 400 but I believe the T-400 uses an electric WOT switch on the throttle for gear kickdown

no it is run by a relay which is controlled by ecm
last turbo 400 I had was around 1986, it was in a $250 1972 Monte Carlo with a 402... oh the cars I wish i still had

So if it is controlled by ECM then is there a TPS?

the 86, if non-EFI will have the switch inside the cab on the pedal assembly. i think they still use a relay though, been awhile since I've seen one
