So in order to prepare for the upcoming memorial day events, I am looking for a solid point on the front of my truck to weld on a 1.5" eye. Requirements are it has to be 1" eye or bigger and be welded on. My question is, being that my truck is no longer ifs, will the ifs crossmember be a suitable location or am I asking for trouble? Recovery vehicle is a loader so no yanking should occur but looking at my truck there seems to be no other suitable location for the eyelet. Any suggestions?
