Tierod to heim joint conversion

Hey, old thread back from the grave...

I know there are mixed feelings on heims for a DD. I've been looking for upgraded steering components since I'm running the D'max and its looking like this is my only route.

What are you guys using for the tapered portion of the tie rod? I'd hate to just drop a busing in there around a bolt, but I don't have the ability to machine a tapered spindle.

I've been looking for some replacements for my heim joints, where could I find some. The threads are messed up. Anybody know who could re thread them for me, or some replacement set? Thanks in advance

Check out speedway. They have all sorts of heim joints in their catalog.
