so is anyone running the BBK 80 mm throttle body or have any advice on a throttle body?

Unless your engine is heavily modified, the stock throttle body flows plenty.

You will flood the engine. No need for it unless you are FI.

More air is not going to flood anything. But I'm with the others that it is going to be a waste of money. You only need more airflow than stock if you've already got other significant mods like heads, cam, injectors, exhaust, tune...stuff not many first gen Vortec owners bother with.
