that's what its all about.
Im doing exactly that, but with only about 2" of lift, 32" tires, and 3:73s...and driving it as I go... cant afford to keep it sitting and restore it with a big $1,000+ bill right now...

but yeah, well done, sir!! the bakes on this truck were a huge pain the butt... clacked steel lines and all. and to this day I still feel like they should be rebuild/re-plumbed.
did 99 have disc in the rear?

you may also want to add a steering stabilizer. I did on mine. with a new gear box and rag joint... that alone was night and day! so much comfort and control now.
I got the kit from RANCHO. only about $80

I'll look into the steering stabilizer. The rag joint replacement was done too.

I can't give any feedback on what helped the most with steering slop because everything was replaced at once.

No disks in the rear. I've looked into swaps but nothing for the right price and quality that can still use the parking brake.

cool!
thank you!

I will need to make double sure the master cylinder booster rod(s) are both the same reach, and that the master cylinder hole itself is just as deep.
but yeah! this weekend with all the rain... yes, the brakes suck...
this is certainly needed on the truck

Updates: the weather has been below freezing for 2 days now and still no problems with leaks anywhere. I even got stuck while parked on an incline and had to spin some tires to break thru ice and get to firm ground. No problems.

Nice, most of my trucks are the opposite. Mechanically my trucks are solid but bodies need paint, rust repair, dents, and light interior work (some need more than others).

My 95 is down for IP, turbo, water pump, timing gears, pulley's and balancers, rear brake and posi rebuild, crossmemeber repair (rear one is rusted), idler (og), pitman(og), steering box and rag joint (og), cab mounts, AC repair, and new door speakers. Otherwise, pass side bed is smashed beyond repair, rockers and door jams are rusted, and the clear coat is crap. Not bad for 300K miles though! lol

Just an example of what my trucks need
