well I recently installled an aftermarket tach in my truck and now if I am stopped the tach will bounce and the truck will stumble?

sounds like you tapped into the wrong wire. go back through check your work. also possible you knocked something lose so look around.

if the tach and the engine are both idleing bad, then the tach is working fine and your engine is the issue. i would check for a vacume leak.

well its not rocket science 12V switched, 12V constant, ground then the tach wire. solder everything then check with voltage meter

again, which engine, what year truck? need some info here, you might have tapped into the wrong wire.
