Swap my stepside for a normal box?

Got a 3/4 stepside i want to put a normal box on it would any shortbox fit?? is it the same exact hole

Im also wanting to do this swap. I havent been under mine in years and have never had the bed off. Is it safe to assume the wire harness for tail lights and license plate light will reach? Or is the fleetside harness needed?

To bad you are so far away I have a mint condition short bed that isn't even scratched inside that I may be selling. But it will be after winter and only if I can put together what I want to do.
